Bosko and The Rebirth of Tiki Thursday, August 1st @ 12:30 to 2:00 PM Get tickets now This documentary film portrait of artist Bosko Hrnjak follows him from his formative years growing up among the Tiki apartment buildings in Los Angeles, to his unsung pioneering work as the first individual to revive the lost art of carving Tikis and sculpting Tiki ceramics. Featuring recently-discovered, rare archival material. Bosko Hrnjak is a pioneer of Tiki art and known as the first artist to sculpt Tikis, first to make ceramic mugs, the first to create a real Tiki bar (Taboo Cove, Las Vegas )since the demise of the movement. |
